WORS Tour de France (aka Firecracker)

OK, it wasn’t really the Tour de France, but Eau Claire is a French name.

The Flyers proudly flew the colors – 21 strong. Not bad seeing it is on the other side of the state from Titletown.

It was a fun race, and WORS did a nice job having a blow-up jumpy thing for the kids and a movie Sat night – all free!

So here is the race report – via leveraged pics:

The young guys leadout - Scott, you either have a serious look or just sad?

Borst leading out the "experienced" guys.

Ken dropping me by the first turn...

Jesse flying through the lap

Gary has his game face on...

Hmm, I look slow in this pic...(I know Schindel, I AM slow...), but where were you?

Steele shredding the singletrack

Lori - have you given up that running thing yet so you can bike full time?

Ken descending and looking to attack - good recovery after having a mechanical.

The Chilton Flash flying through the course - He looked strong when he blew past me in the pines singletrack!

Kris rocking the Lefty fork. Good to see the Klapperich clan at the race.

Butch ripping up the singletrack after dropping me after the first lap.

Bill wishing he had his rear suspension...

Good job to all of the Flyers! If anyone has pics or stories after races, shoot them to me and I'll post them.

Hope to see everyone at Alterra, and remember to circle the weekend of Aug 21-22 on your calendars - we need racers and helpers for the Ramble!
