Ride time.....where were you all?

With temps riding the 10 above mark, the ice looking smooth and fast, four of us decided to get the bikes outside and see where the fitness is at......for the record.....mine was not found! We hit Duck Creek first, believe it or not the ice was too cold and hard? No bite out of the tires and even with studs it was extremely slippery......damn.
After the ice was deemed....."too slippery?"........we hit some local trails and found them to be packed and fast, VERY rideable! The four of us had a blast riding the trails and it was great to get on the mountain bikes off-road!

The return trip we decided to make it an ATB day......all types of terrain! We covered, ice, snow, dirt, pavement, mud.....pretty much everything we could find we rode. Best part of the day was just simply being outside and on the bike, good times....too bad only 4 of were lucky enough to enjoy it! But hey....we had a blast!

Ice Rink Trucking.....Flyers Style.

The Flyers on the ice.....throwing goodies into the crowd......we had 5000 fans Saturday night....sweet!

Borst hunkering down, new fenders and all.....new team bibs as well!

Hell yeah......CompuTrainer Rob snagging a little COLD air!

That's what I'm talking about.....want some.

3 Bobs hanging out......OK, so the crowd could have cared less who we are....they wanted the damn stuffed SpongeBobs. And the scary thing, the adults wanted them more than the kids......and were jumping seats to get them?
Good times!

Thanks for the pics Schindel!!!

Plethra of team pics!

Gary put together a collage for the team and I think between the two of us we have all 46 of us that raced 1 or more WORS races!? I hope, but let me know if you are not in the collage.....? The deal.....if you pick it up somehow....you get one for free, otherwise you will have to pay shipping. It is very cool and thanks to Gary for the work on it.
Good times on the ice as well, more importantly it was good to see the team and hang out with each other.....alright, time to start training for 2010 :) Ice pictures coming from markschindel.com soon.

The 5th Annual Polar Bike!

Biggest New Years Day ride yet....the 5th was a charm! 22 riders hit the pavement (sometimes icy) for a about a 16 mile tour from the west side og GB to West DePere.....warm drinks and the the return trip with a couple of stops along the way......good times for all and no spills!

Temps were in the teens with a fairly brisk wind out of the Northwest.....return trip was a bit chilled :) Steele dialed in with the warm clothes.....roads were in fine condition for the most part.

Looking back at the hard core group heading south on Packerland Drive.....check out Esko in the yellow...made the trip from Wausau, Chuck drove down from the Marinette area, and Martini was up from Neenah.....and then our host of GB riders!

Quick hit for the official bike shop of the Flyers......notice the JB logo on the right of the photo.....need bike thingy's.....go to JB....come on.....GO!

Hmmmmm, a gas station in the same shot as Borst....what are the chances of that happening.......justt kidding Randy....and Lanser.....wait, where's Devroy?
Scroll on down to the next post.....more pics!

New Years Ride pt. 2

Lanser and Rich enjoying a hot beverage, Steve in the Background warming up as well, we over ran Starbucks!

Superfast Dan, Q, Steve-O, Kelly, Martini....ahhhhh it's so warm with the mocha-locha-cocha what ever you are drinking!

Ready for the return trip with a crazy strong Nor Wester in the face....warm fluids and we are ready to rock!

Due to the fact that a lot of us were somewhat frozen....a stop by the frozen tundra was in order....and the use of their "facilities!"

Lanser crossing it up the steps of the hallowed grounds.....must have been the cross tires on the bike that told him to shoulder it up!

Thanks to all for making the ride, a little chilly but what a great way to start the new year/season......best turnout yet and I know there is a few that are going to regret staying in there warm beds......let's rock oh 10!!!
