Adopt-a-Family shopping trip

We decided this holiday season to adopt a family in need and make their Holiday a happy one, or at least we hope we do! So we all assembled at casa de hauser, got the game plan and then headed to shopkp. As the picture shows......a clyde must always have the right amount of proper nutrition.....yes!

More of the crew working on some "stra-tee-ja-ree!" A big thanks to those Flyers that made the trip out on a slightly cool night! I am pretty sure we are helping a family have a good Christmas, very cool.
Once we returned back to the Hauser house, it was wrapping time! Two stations....or was it 5....everyone was wrapping gifts all over the house. Kind of cool to see what everyone bought for there family member, all great shopping and a lot of big smiles in the future for our lucky family. Lucky.....because we are very lucky and grateful to have the opportunity and ability to lend a hand this holiday season.

The Fischer family :) wrapping their goods, a younger family member.....so a good supply of diapers!

The two highly skilled wrappers......extremely skilled that is, look at the precise measurement by Kris!

The final and finished gift piles, 4 piles of this size!!!

And yet another pile! A wonderful evening spent with some great people that just happen to be pretty decent bike riders.....Flyers again proving that being number one off the bike is just as if not more rewarding. Happy Holidays to all.

Iceman 2010 in pictures.

Race morning temp!

Which led to this warm up for the race......followed by the ride to the start line.

Post race fire and PBR's.

Group photo with a little too much light on us, thumbs up!

The last few standing, and it wasn't for long....if you know what I mean :)

Thumbs up to Drifters, an annual stop on the way up.

How much cash in bikes on these vehicles?

A great time for everyone, and we learn each year that it is not all about the race, hanging with the team and just having a great time! 14 Flyers in attendance and all nice races and I sure a blast when not on the bike.....a great way to end the season!
See you all on the New Years Day ride.

Been a looooooooong time.....

Lots of racing action over the past month, just been too busy to get anything up on this site, sorry! Had a great place up at the Chequamegon for the team to stay....everyone had great races and a good time after at Famous Dave's BBQ shack.

Up next for the team is the Bear Paw WORS race and/or possibly the USGP Cyclocross race down near Madison.....or the Anahpee Trail ride near Luxemburg? Hopefully we will have a ton of Flyers out on the Bike wherever they choose.....ride on team!

Also of note, I have secured the domain address for the Flyers....we should be up on the web soon! www.titletownflyerscycling.com.

Just a little extra photos for you all to enjoy. Again nice job on leading the team standings, keep it up !

Kewaunee Road Race

We had a nice showing at the Kewaunee Troutman Road Race, a great way to kick off the first Annual road race for the festival....nice job to all who made the trip to the Lakeshore! Little Miss Steele leading Papa up a small climb.....great to see a young Flyer on the bike!

All the way from Spooner (I think).....Matt Steele powering up the hills....is there a theme here....hills?

The gang all set to rumble.....again on the small hills!

Team shot, or most of the team......there are few missing, nice job to all.....including Seth Lenss who came thru in Second place to dirt Flyer Mitch (IS Corp on the road)......again I know the organizers appreciated the turnout......sweet!
I think we also had a few hit the pavement in the Titletown Bike Tour Saturday as well.....little wet from what I hear? It is almost Flyer time, we tend to have strong August thru the end of the season's.....so let's get on the bike and represent at the races.....including me!
Up this weekend is a road race in Blue Mounds and then Franklin for the Alterra Classic, GOOOOOOOOOOO!

WORS Tour de France (aka Firecracker)

OK, it wasn’t really the Tour de France, but Eau Claire is a French name.

The Flyers proudly flew the colors – 21 strong. Not bad seeing it is on the other side of the state from Titletown.

It was a fun race, and WORS did a nice job having a blow-up jumpy thing for the kids and a movie Sat night – all free!

So here is the race report – via leveraged pics:

The young guys leadout - Scott, you either have a serious look or just sad?

Borst leading out the "experienced" guys.

Ken dropping me by the first turn...

Jesse flying through the lap

Gary has his game face on...

Hmm, I look slow in this pic...(I know Schindel, I AM slow...), but where were you?

Steele shredding the singletrack

Lori - have you given up that running thing yet so you can bike full time?

Ken descending and looking to attack - good recovery after having a mechanical.

The Chilton Flash flying through the course - He looked strong when he blew past me in the pines singletrack!

Kris rocking the Lefty fork. Good to see the Klapperich clan at the race.

Butch ripping up the singletrack after dropping me after the first lap.

Bill wishing he had his rear suspension...

Good job to all of the Flyers! If anyone has pics or stories after races, shoot them to me and I'll post them.

Hope to see everyone at Alterra, and remember to circle the weekend of Aug 21-22 on your calendars - we need racers and helpers for the Ramble!

Subaru Cup

A big week/weekend of racing for the Flyers, can you find Dale Lenss in the photo.....Dale representing in the pro race!

For most of the last two weeks you could and would find Q on the pavement across the eastern side of the state.....it was TOAD time! Nice job Q, back on the bike after the mishap....just like riding a bike!

This past weekend was the BIG DADDY! Subaru Cup time for the WORS crowd and a few pro racers from across North America.....a great weekend of racing for all who made the trip! A few highlites if I am remembering correctly and in no order and sorry if I forget anything......?

Seth Lenss tore up the Cat 1 field, out in front by what seemed to be over a minute! Awesome ride Seth, hung onto 4th after a little mechanical messed with him.....still a great ride! After that it was really just everyone on the course getting it done, Flyers numbers were moderate and could have been higher but still a lot of us out there! Davidson ripped it up in the short track on Sunday......flying thru the field......and then got pulled.....like most of us? BP had a nice weekend of racing even though his gears fell off......a great single speed ride in the short track! Pascalle took a Cat 3 Super D win......just a ton of great performances, nice job to all.

Camping was stellar with the team all in one general area.....storms and all, we had a good time!

The story of the weekend in my point of view.......watching the little fellas in the Cat 3 race come thru, one kid rides up to his Dad and says, "it's too hard, I'm done?" So the kid goes over and takes his helmet off and sits on the ground.........the Expo kids went over and chatted with him, he sat there a little longer........then he gets up and walks back down, puts his helmet on and gets his bike........he was going to finish the race! The crowd was cheering like crazy for the kid......he will never forget that day.......that day he did NOT quit. That is why we all mountain bike and love to be around our WORS family.

Sunny.....Burst!

Butch slugging it out on the energy sucking trails.....who ever said this race was easy is a .....*&%&^%*%*&%!!!!!!

Davidson thinking about what trash talk he was going to throw at Hauser upon crossing the line......he threw plenty, and had a tasty 49 cent cone on the way home :)

Leader of the Pack, Dale getting it done....leading the fellas all day!

Giesen brought it home in 4th and held up right where he needed in points....rumor has it there may be some big Stumpy wheels beneath the Chilton Flash in the future?!

Paul back on the back and whooping it up, racing the Epic while the 29er gets an overhaul!
Nice work to all, that was a tough day on the bike, humidity and energy zapping sticky mud......not an easy race as some may claim! Let's look to Subaru Cup to see a HUGE showing of Flyers.....numbers are a little down.....crank them up! Racing and camping with the team, good times all around at a great event, get out there!

Wausau 2010

No better way to start the post off than with the youngest Flyer of all.....Jack Usiak ripping it up in the kids race.....proudly flying the colors! Awesome!

Nice shot of Ramble course director Dale Lenss, a class win for Dale at Wausau......nice ride!

Bill Peters and Mark Schindel lapping thru....they kind of look HOT....great job to all in the heat.

Warren Fowler lap thru, always riding strong......good ride Warren!

Looks like the big boys rolling off the line, Steele powering off the front for a 5th place finish on the day!

Like I said, great job to all, the heat was tough from what I hear! Giesen snags his first trip to the top step, sweet!

Thoughts out to Q as he recovers from a pretty bad crash in a road race, I got a text from Gantz saying he was in the ER with Q.....hit his head on the pavement and has a good amount of road rash......take care and get back on the bike Q!

Remember the re-scheduled Stump Farm race is this Sunday at the Camp! 30, 50, 100 mile options....get on out and get some miles in on the mountain bike!

Weekend of racing and riding!

Good shot of Q after the mega climbing-fest down by Baraboo......big strong legs for the rest of the season! Nice job Q, a true rumor that he is leading his age class category.....rock on roadie!

The start in Rhinelander, looks like Q sneaking in that shot as well, he is all over the place....representing!

And Dale Lenss with a back to back weekend up nort'! More later but the team had multiple riders all over the place....a busy weekend for all and a successful weekend.....details coming later.
