Drum roll please......the new jersey!

So after Noah and I have put about 6+ hours in with another 3 to go(?), I am able to give you the new look.....the first Titletown Flyers jersey! As you can see on the monitor....a very cool process and I have to say that Noah is flat out freakin' talented......we would try this and that and then go back and forth.......somethings we ended up stumbling on by accident others totally what we were looking for......we are both really happy with the design!

So there it is.....what do you all think? Obviously there will be more logos placed on the jersey, notice the silhouetted Flyers logos on the main body area....a little green but not too much.....I really like the look.
The shorts are close to being done but we ran out of time tonight, so stay tuned and I promise they will look good! I would love to hear your thoughts on the jersey, drop me an email if you would.....even if to just say how much you love the new look :)
Time for the trainer?

Good Luck Mitch!

Just a good luck shout out to Mitch Gantz, Mitch is heading out to Cali on Friday to join the Liquid Fitness Racing team....an early graduation gives him the opprotunity to head west and begin the season and career!

Mitch is the 3rd rider with ties to the team/area making the jump to a bigger team outside of the area....he joins Cole House (BMC Racing/USA Developmental) and Ryan Baumann (Livestrong/Trek U23 ), a good group of riders that can boogie on the bike!

Good luck Mitch, keep us posted and ride on!

Playing in the snow!

A few of us...ok eight of us....took to the trails at the Camp for our weekly skinny skiing extravaganza! A nice fresh fluffy layer of snow with the rails being in decent condition....a good morning of skiing!
A little rest, the YL's (young legs of one Ryan Wenzlick) were in full force! Wenzlick must have eaten from the same Wheaties batch as Steve Baumann.....blistering pace off the front!

Steele keeping it real on the DH, or cruising under control on the big steep down hill.....excellent work by the fellas on the big down hill!

Speedy Steve in full tuck screaming down the big daddy, must have been the aero suit or he nailed the wax choice....Mmmmmm!
We hit the more advanced loop and I think all of us had a good time and got one hell of a workout in.....if you got ski's hanging in the garage.....dust em' off and let it rip!

A few team functions!

So not only did we ride the ice at the hockey game last weekend, we took some time out to talk to the families about the importance of wearing a helmet when riding....Moms and Dads included! A great night to help out the Center for Childhood Safety!
Ryan showing a family what could happen to your head should you choose to not wear a helmet?

Chalk talk before we hit the ice.....who's taking out out when we hit the ice.....a staged fight in the making?

Fast forward to the first team meeting of the new team.....The Titletown Flyers are in full force from this point on! Just me opening up the meeting and telling everyone what is going on to this point and letting them know the plans, hope everyone is happy with things so far.....just want to give everyone an environment to enjoy the sport we all love......and get some sweet deals along the way making it even more do-able to race and ride our bikes :)

We had local Specialized Rep Pete Esser in for a clinic and show of the latest products from our bike and accessory sponsor.....Specialized! Thanks Pete for running thru things and getting the team much more familiar with the product out there, very helpful.
Ready set gooooooo!

We got shirts!

We just might be official......that's right, the shirts are in and the logo is out there for all to see and recognize! We were out at the hockey game this weekend, a few random people walked up to our members and commented on the logo and loved it! Riders and families all had great things to say about it......all good, now to design the kits!

A successful weekend at the hockey game, no falls and the fans either liked us or the Sponge Bobs we were chucking.....amazing the number of adults coming to our table after each period asking for Sponge Bobs, riiiiiight.....your "kid" wants one!

Team meeting this Wednesday night, be there!

See you on the ice.

The 1st Titletown Flyers group ride! Brrr!

The hardcore group of 14 posing for the traditional group photo to start the Polar Bear Ride! Borst and I could tell on the way up to the start that it just might be a bit chilly today.....and when we headed south....oh yea it was really really really ah.....cold!

We have a tradition of stopping off for a warm beverage, so why not make it Starbucks with a nice warm place to grab some heat while we were at it.....hit the spot! When we walked in the workers were smiling and asked if we really were out riding our bikes! Then as we left, some guy took our picture with all of our gear on, good stuff.....maybe we motivated someone to go workout......if they can ride outside then I can hit the indoor treadmill? Perhaps that is what he was thinking...........or.......what the hell are those freaks doing riding their bikes outside today!!

Back on the road, this was just before I had to go to the front and slow the pace down, a little reminder that it was a fun casual ride.....not a training ride! All good fun though, the wind was at our backs and giving us a really nice push north. We only had one rider go down and he was back up so I think all is well?! A few new riders to the group which was awesome, great to see them out with the Flyers riding in the new year, thanks to all who came out for year number 4....to those that stayed home in bed......wahhhhh! One of these years we might reach our goal of 25 riders.....just have to get the rest of you to realize how much fun your missing!

The video below, listen to the studs humming on the pavement, ahhh....the sweet sound of riding a bike in the winter in Wisconsin!
