Home Cooking!

Saturday rains.....all of us locals knew what the Saturday rains would do for the course on Sunday morning......F A S T ! And that is exactly what happened, as I am getting into my tent Saturday night.....the rain stops around 9:04pm, I was watching the clock and the sky, just knowing that if the rain would go away anytime now we would have the right amount of drying time......thank you dear Lord!

With the Volunteers and racers combined we had over 40 racers at the Ramble, good points day! Those who raced helped out beyond all belief Saturday and then Sunday before and after, warriors!
Borst in the single track, how about that course that Dale put together......awesome!

We do know that it was a good thing we had County Rescue their, the Flyers kept them busy :) We even get to use the bad joke and say.....look at the two Flyers with broken wings....ba dum bah....? I can joke because they both came back to the race course after the Doc and are in good spirits! Mike is already planning some trainer time and I know Mark will be back at it soon.....we all wish you both a fast and successful recovery!

Home Course Advantage!

Cole grabbing some good tasty and needed h2o....big props to the Flyers family members for taking care of business at the water stop!

Curt getting after it after a swig of refreshing Flyer h20!

New Flyer Gary Esko from Wausau popping out of the single track just before the h2o, great to have you on the team Gary!

Paul Westburg burning it up on the uno speedo.

Seth digging in, a fast train of Elite's kept the hammer down and the speeds WAY up!
A huge thanks to all of you.....you all made the race happen and happen extremely well! It is amazing that we have such a great group of riders that give their time so freely to make this event happen....a very humbling experience when I myself sit back and think about all that happens when you agree to put a race on, and knowing we have the team we have willing to do what it takes.....amazing!
Thank you all from, myself, Dale, and Ethan. The Flyers ROCK!

Thank you to Stephanie Yost for the pictures while handing off water!

The Ramble Map, Race the Lake pics

There you have it, the new course map for the 2009 Reforestation Camp race, approx. 5 miles of single track and and 7 miles of double track.....approximately! A nice course and thanks to Dale Lenss....it is his baby!

Joel Hynes screaming up the High Cliff climb......a nice top 100 for Joel, very cool to have Joel all the over from Wausau!

Warren...........our only age class winner on the day, pretty sweet accomplishment and congrats to Warren! I know this was a goal of his and he got it!

Steele and Westburg drilling it up the climb, this might have been Paul's into to road racing.....way to take the 90 mile plunge Pauly!!!! Awesome!

Mr. Larson got out on the race course this weekend......his loooooong awaited road race debut......I can only imagine that he shredded the huge hills in Mauston......good to see on the road racing scene and great to see you with the proper recovery drink :)

Special thanks to Steele's wife Christen and family, and Julia, the Westburg family for the cheering and encouragement, Lynn and Randy for the bottle hand-ups that rocked, Q's family was there as well.....hope I did not miss anyone, thanks if I did! It was great to have support out there, that was a long tough race, hope to have more of you out there next year! Even with the pain (cramps), it was a really good time!
Now we ready ourselves for the Ramble! Love to see the majority out there the next two weeks as we get closer to race day! We can always use non-racing volunteers for registration and water stops.....course marshalls as well, let me know and please try to show up Wednesday so you are in the know!

Sikora leading a train on the switchback hill, of note....Erin drove himself to the hospital post race and found out the fall on the straight and rough downhill resulted in 2 broken fingers including a bone in his hand......heal up pal!

Dallas also had a strong day, sitting in 6th overall right here, great job by all....good showing in all classes across the board!
