We had a great turnout this week, 27 total riders as we rolled out to hit the potential race course for this year's Ramble. With the course just about set.....really only one person who truly knows the course.....and the groups up front all dropped him.....whoooooops!
We all did manage to ride the majority of the course, missed a few sections....I will say that if the county does indeed approve the proposed course.....should be a fun race for 2009!!! More of two key elements.....hills......and.......singletrack! We should know for sure next week sometime and can hopefully have it marked two weeks in advance....we'll see about that!
Thanks to all the riders who made it out, Flyers and Performa riders....good (big finally) group!
One last and important item.....congrats to Joel Hynes.....12 Hour Solo WINNER in Wausau! Awesome ride Joel!

Sunburst
Seth Lenss leading a small train in the Cat. 1 field, got a little warm and bumpy out there I hear!
Ryan had a great race, top ten finish in age class if I remember right, nice job and looking good in the new kit!
Sikora on the banked corner, rumor has it that a few fell victim to the banking this year?
The roadie finally hitting the dirt, good to see Jeff after a very successful road season!
Mark Cole in tow.....the Flyer train traversing the ski hill, looking good boys!

I know we also had members at the Titletown Bike Tour and the Door County Tri, any pics of those events would be great! See you all Wednesday night and then at the over priced 24/9 or else Alterra!
Thanks to Dan and Rebecca for the pics!

A downhill Flyer, not many pics from the FireCracker
Just wanted to show yet another side of the Flyers.....our lone downhiller! Nick Crocker is a regular every year at the Subaru Cup downhill event, great pic of Nick airborne at the Cup! A very multi-faceted team we have become!
Sorry for the itty bitty picture of Mark Cole in the Comp race at the FireCracker? We had close to 20 riders make the long drive across the state, good camping with a bunch of us and then some good racing on a great race course.....you missed it if you stayed home! Excellent offering of everything on this course, nice job all for getting up to the race!
Clothing should be here next week and available Wednesday night at the group ride at the Camp, stop up and don't forget to send money asap so we can pay for it all! More race course recon possible tonight.....se you at the Camp!
