Little road racing action!

With the new Tour of America's Dairyland in the area this past week and a half......we had a few team members hitting the pavement for some road racing! I hope I do not miss anyone, Nick Crocker, Andy Tegge, Jeff Gantz, and Quentin Gniot all raced one or many races in the series, awesome work guys in some extremely high heat days last week!

Q showing just how hot he was after the race in Fondy, the hose felt mighty fine I am guessing! Quentin raced close to half of the races and had a number of great finishes! Jeff Gantz raced them all and was going for the Masters 4/5 title, going into the final race he had a 1 point lead....I will update the blog in the morning when the results come out, great job to all of you!
Another handful up in Menominee for the Menominee River Century, again I may miss a few....I know Borst, Fowler, Lanser, Caleb Lenss and maybe the rest of the family(?), Schindel.....good showing up there in not the heat but the wind!
Don't forget the Wednesday night ride at the Camp, more is better.....with a big team we should be able to get a big group ride and Wednesday night tradition going out there? This week we may do some experimenting with a possible Ramble course, maybe? Come on out and join the fun, 6pm at the camp!
The 2nd clothing order should be rolling in real soon.....I hope, I will let you know right away when it gets here.....hoping this week!
Last thing, send me race/ride reports and I can post them on the blog, more interesting than hearing me mumble.....Randy B sent me a Yooper race report that I emailed rather than post.....send me the goods and I will post them all!
See you all Wednesday and then in Eau Claire, let me know who is going so I can save spots in the camping area, my family is heading over Friday morning and can save an area for the team to camp...just let me know.

The Subaru Cup

A HOT and grueling day at the Subaru Cup.....just ask anyone that raced! From my perspective in the chair as a volunteer, some tired and beaten down bodies passing by, tough race but a great course with a lot of everything!!!! Dennis grinding thru the start finish area, that sun beating down on him.......HOT!

Warren told me everytime by that this was his FAVORITE course! (insert lots of sarcasm in my voice!!!)

Sikora cooling the body down a little, if possible.....another nice race and good finish for Erin, 3rd in age class!

Lanser in true form, waiting till the very end of the race to move into first place and get the win! Just how he likes to ride, awesome.

Ryan Usiak with a possible smile on his face, great to have Ryan on the team this year and for many years to come....we hope!!! Thanks to Rebecca for the pictures!
Good to see another huge turnout of Flyers, a few stayed for the second day of racing....a goodtime to see how well the legs will react to second day of racing.....again great job to all who made it out for the race!
Next up, fireworks in Eau Claire! A good camping venue, I plan to bring the family up on Friday and camp the weekend there, love to have a bunch of you join us....bring the families and we'll find some fireworks Saturday night in Eau Claire....see you Wednesday night at the Camp.....low turnouts on Wednesday nights lately?????
Mark Cole......100 off-road miles in the Lumberjack 100.......rock on Mark!

The Big Ring!

The Chilton Flash.....Mike Giesen cranking thru the Pines!

One of our 3 Elite riders, Joel Hynes set to pass the Clif Bar rider, a nice race for Joel in front of the hometown fans!

Dale Lenss navigating the logging section, so that's where he got his firewood both nights! Just kidding :)

Chris Harrison out in the open with the pedal down!

Kris Klapperich on the logging trails, great race by the whole crew from Ripon!

Big Ring Coninued....

Matt Berg feeling some Nine Mile Love.....just like the rest of us, love the matching bike.....we all need green bikes!

The Doc leading a small train through the pines, good finish for Steele on the day!

Gary without the camera in hand, nice race Gary!

Steve squared.....these guys passed me shortly after my large and highly successful "yard sale!"

Rich nailed down another top 3 age class performance, very nice Rich!

Nice job again to the Flyers, I think we had just over 30 out there again this race, everyone still comments on the team and the clothing......so nice job gang! I'd write more but not feeling all that great and can only sit up for 10-15 minutes at a time......ride on!
Possible trail work at Mt. Morris this weekend, details coming when the Don figures out the plan?
Photo credits.....Kristin Hauser and Rebecca Usiak.....thank you both!
