A not much weekend!

With the fantastic weather of late, no real scheduled rides set for the weekend. Saturday a handful of us decided to roll out around 11am, went North across 29 and into Mill Center. After fighting traffic jams thru the metropolis known as Mill Center, we rolled on thru and decided to take a run up "lil' bastard," never let's us down and always lives up to its name! We hit that with a vengeance and then rolled onto the Col' de AMS......not all that bad with a tailwind pushing us up the long grinder, one more Col and we had a decent ride in the books, and that was the infamous Col' de Sac, new pavement makes this roll right along.

Sunday no rides set as we woke up to a fresh layer of the skiing soil, talked about a He-Nis-Ra mtb ride but nothing happening on that front.

Keep in mind the date of the clothing arrival is around the 14th of April, and I will get us registered with WCA in the next day or so.....just in time for the racing this weekend! Also should have the USA Cycling registration set real soon too.

Good weekend on the bike for the team!

We woke up Saturday to a couple of inches of that white stuff on the ground....ride postponed for a while? A few of us got together in the afternoon and put in 3 hours on the bike south of GB, a good solid pace and we had a good ride!

Sunday rolled around and we had 13 riders at the meeting spot ready to get after it, a few of us back again from the previous day's pretty hard effort along with a bunch of newer team members....AWESOME to have a lot of new faces out there with us! We hit the north loops for just under two hours, great saddle time this weekend.....nice work!

Nate Phelps posted a video from the Sunday ride, check it out and thanks Nate! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKDqy3DBn5U

Clothing date...........drum roll...............we should see the clothing arrive in GB approx. the 14th of April? Or sometime around that date, plenty of time for the season opener.

Have a good week.

Snowed out

Saturday morning ride canceled due to a wet white stuff on the roads again......what is that stuff and when will it go away!

See you all Sunday morning.

Weekend of Team Training

Team rides were scgeduled for both Saturday and Sunday morning, 830am-ish is how we roll on the Flyers! Saturday attendance was decent at 10 riders, the peleton headed west to Seymour for some into the wind training to get things started....a good pace and overall decent ride from what I hear.

A look over Wenzlick's shoulder (stole the pics off of his blog), Larson getting set to move to the front and open up the lungs a little! From what I hear there was a flat right away and a potential lost rider during the ride....all good though as everyone was accounted for.....nice job guys and good to see a nice turnout!

Sunday 830am was again the time of the day......little early but allows the family time that we all need to get in....everyone is happy then!

Sunday morning ride saw the numbers go up, 13 riders rolled out of the parking lot and headed south....a little breezy and a few frozen melt-off spots to avoid....it's all good! We weaved our way south and ended up at the Wrightstown exit where 4 riders went left for a little longer loop around Wrightstown while the 9 others headed back on Countyline. Our group that headed back ended up with just over 2 hours of riding, the longer group pulled about 3 from what I gather?

Overall it was an awesome weekend of riding for the team.....props to the guys that got out and put the bike time in....and I am sure the rest of you were cranking the miles on your own :) Plan on the same type of training rides next weekend as well!

Let's hope the temps stay high, anyone have interest in a ride Tuesday night? High of 60!

Couple of photo's from Nate Phelps that were taken off the back of his bike, very cool angle! Larson making the photo again with Schindel and Matt Berg I believe in tow.

Same two fellas with the beautiful blue skies as the back drop, hopefully that white stuff on the side of the road goes away real soon and we can lose the cool weather clothing in trade for our soon to be here Flyers gear.

March Team Meeting

Greetings, we had our monthly team meeting Tuesday night at the Harmony Cafe, very well attended as we filled up the room! Started the night out with myself going thru some of the latest on races, clothing, pro-deals....all of the goods that have been happening lately. The goal is to keep everyone updated on the team and all that surround it, mission accomplished.
Next up our special guest speaker for the month...............

World Cyclocross Championships participant Brian Matter came up from his usual digs in Shevegas to chat with the team about his racing and experiences across the pond racing with the worlds best. Also good to hear about his racing on this big ol' chunk of land, the triple crown and other racing experiences. I know a lot of team riders mentioned to me that they really enjoyed meeting and listening to Brian talk about his racing career and the past Cyclocross season, thanks for coming up B-Matter!

A shot of Martini showing the latest product that will soon become the team duffle bags, a unanimous decision to go with the very bag he is showing in the photo.....stitch the Flyer logo on and bingo! Thanks for taking care of that Jason, good stuff and just another piece of the puzzle for the Flyers.
Picture credit to Mr. Schindel. Also, get your pro-deals ready as we will try to get the orders rolling in the next couple of weeks. Team clothing.....I will give you an update as soon as I hear from Verge.
Stay tuned for ride info for this coming weekend.

Spring Training begins.....temporarily?

A few of us gathered on the lovely west side of GB for some riding of the bicycles this weekend....Saturday was much warmer than Sunday....notice the winter gear in the photos! After dealing with the time change and the chilly morning...we finally got rolling just after 815am.....headed north into a somewhat frigid morning BREEZE!

After 2 hours of riding on Saturday we went for a short 80-90 minute excursion Sunday, a look here as the peleton re-groups in the Howard area with a very sweet tailwind! The big worry this time of the year aside from all of the winter feasting is the traffic getting used to other types of vehicles on the pave'......see next photo for some true pave'!

Check out the ripped up road right where Steve (man in black) is riding....had to dodge nature made pave' and icy spots this morning, we still managed a decent ride of just around or under 20 miles.
A good weekend of riding for us, Borst wins with 80+ miles in the last 3 days....rock on Randy! See you all Tuesday night at the Harmony cafe, 645-7pm, remember to bring your pro-deal orders and money for them, later.

Team Meeting, pro-deal orders

Just a reminder to you all that we will have our meeting Tuesday the 10th at the Harmony Cafe on Green Bay's west side, 645pm. We will shoot the breeze, watch a team video from the '07 season that some have yet to see (it's motivation), and then World Cyclocross participant Brian Matter is going to chat with us about his experiences over seas racing at the World Championships!

Pro-deal orders for Crank Brothers, Kenda, Honey Stinger, and Hayes will be gathered......pay when you order on those so bring the cash!

See you there,
